Sarah (Nelly Karim) discovers the infidelity of her husband (Amr Mamdouh) so she decides to leave him and seek comfort from Dalia (Caroleen Khalil), her dear and long lost friend. In turn, Dalia is having problems with her boyfriend Akram (Mohamed Soliman) but she introduces Sara to a new world where she meets Hesham (Asser Yassin), the saxophone player and Dalia's neighbour and Abdel Latif (Hassan Hosny), the fashion designer.
Will Sarah cheat on her husband like he cheated on her…will Dalia overcome her problems with her boyfriend…

About the director
Born in Alexandria (Egypt) in 1965, Hisham El Shafei graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Set Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1987. |
El Shafei furthered his studies and in 1992, he acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema Directing from the Egyptian Higher Cinema Institute.
From 1996 to 1998, El Shafei was granted the scholarship of the Egyptian Arts Academy in Rome where he completed his studies in Advanced Film Directing Techniques at the Italian Film Institute.
El Shafei worked as an assistant director with several eminent Egyptian filmmakers, and directed a number of documentaries and short feature films, namely El Mohagereen (The Immigrants), a documentary produced by Il Groupo Geovani del Cinema (Rome, 1998), and Shebak (Window), a short feature film produced by The Egyptian Arts Academy in Rome (1997).
Have We Met Before (EHNA ETKABELNA QABL KEDAH) is El Shafei’s first long feature film, produced by Studio Masr in 2008. |
